12 step fellowship for recovery from cluttering

Clutterers Anonymous (CLA) is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength, and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem with clutter and help each other to recover.

They achieve this as individuals, groups, and a fellowship by practicing our 12 Steps of recovery and by being guided by their 12 Traditions.  The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop cluttering. There are no dues or fees for membership; they are self-supporting through their own 7th Tradition contributions, neither soliciting nor accepting outside donations.

Their fellowship is based on suggestion, interchange of experience, rotation of leadership and service. CLA is not affiliated with any public or private organization, political movement, ideology, or religious doctrine; they take no position on outside issues. Their primary purpose is to stop cluttering one day at a time and to carry this message of recovery to clutterers who still suffer.

Clutterers Anonymous

Clutterers Anonymous is not a substance-based program, so there has been controversy over whether there can be abstinence. Each person has a unique definition of recovery from clutter or hoarding derived from introspection, help from his or her Higher Power, a sponsor, or buddy.
